Jenniffer Akiode

Jenniffer Bissette Llanos Nunez-Akiode, sometimes known as Jija, also known as Mom, Sister, friend and finally Chief Akiode.  Born to John K. Bissette and Julia Llanos Villanueva in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on 05/08/1979.  She departed from us on Wednesday March 20, 2024, at Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX.

Jenniffer is survived by her two daughters’ Ylanna Sarai Nunez, and Simone Oreoluwa Akiode, her legacy further blossomed with her granddaughter Amethyst Xiamara Glover.  She will be missed by her older sister Joanna Bissette Llanos and brother John Bissette (Juni),

 Jenniffer’s life was one of service and kindness, beginning with her Air Force career in1998 ending with her Federal Service career as a Chief of Admin Services in Newport News VA in 2024. Her hobbies included traveling, laughing, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants. Beyond her home, Jenniffer was very passionate about her work with veterans, and it was her goal to one day make policies to improve the health care procedures for veterans’ quality of life.

The service to celebrate Jennifer’s life will be held on March 30, 2024, at 2:00pm central at Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services, located at 1734 Alabama St, Houston, TX 77098
