This was a shocker to read! I worked with Bill during HL&P Corporate Planning days (80s) and in recent years, enjoyed passing him in the Skywalk or escalators with his usual smile and cordial greeting. Always pleasant and if in a bad mood, you never knew. Super good guy...seeing him always reminded me of happier times...those brief "how ya doin' encounters" will be missed, him too! Condolences to his family.

William “Bill” Rice, 65, died on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 25, 1949 in Rocky River, Ohio. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until half-past six o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, June 5, 2015 at The Bradshaw-Carter, 1734 West Alabama Street in Houston. The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at half-past six o’clock. Following the service all are invited to greet the family during a reception at Bradshaw-Carter.
