He was so much more than a boss to anyone who has worked for him, just as he was much more than a doctor to anyone who was his patient. I was lucky to witness both of these first hand. Thanks for everything Dr. Swenson! Obviously he was loved and will be missed by many, what a wonderful man! Condolences to Jane and the entire family. Tracey, I am just a phone call away, anytime.

Jennifer Robinson, Houston, TX

I am just so very heartbroken to hear of dear Dr. Swenson's death. He was a great doctor who always did everything he could to truly care for me. Be it just sitting and listening, to putting his arm around my shoulder to comfort me while I cried over a struggle I was going through to working hard to find samples of medications to help defray the cost of what I needed to help me get better. He was such a wonderful man. His kind heart, generous, caring spirit and "no bull" way was like none other. He was one of the rare breed of really, really good men. Though he was not one for being sappy, the subtle yet profound display of things like his nieces drawings in his patient rooms and sweet but brief passing smile to his much adored wife, showed so very well how big his heart was and how deeply he cared. I will miss his beautiful heart and gracious spirit. I know my daddy was waiting to greet him and welcome him to his rightful place in Heaven. Rest well, dear man...you will be greatly missed. My most heartfelt condolences to Jane and his family as well as Tracey, his 'office family'.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. I would stop by and have a cup of coffee with him when he had a few minutes when I was in Houston.

He always said I was almost his first patient. He delivered my daughter in 1970 and took care of my family, including my mother for many, many years until an HMO forced me to a different doctor. He was wonderful to us and had an awesome sense of humor. We had a lot of laughs' many over my health care issues but in a fun way. We are saddened and will keep him in our hearts forever.
