Rebecca, I am very sorry that I cannot be there for you, but please know that I am there in spirit. I am so sorry about your Mom--I know how much you loved her. With time, comes peace and acceptance--it is different for each one of us. Please pass my condolences on to the rest of your family. Love ya--Gilda

Pauline Annette Perreault Farley passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, at her home of 50 years. The previous day she was in great spirits and surrounded by family, which included her cherished grandchildren. It was also a memorable day as it was her 61st wedding anniversary. Our Heavenly Father called her home the next morning.
Pauline was born in Thetford Mines, Canada, the 7th of 12 children born to Alfonso and Zinaide Perreault on November 23, 1926. She grew up working at her father’s dry goods store and skiing in the nearby mountains. After completing nursing studies in Quebec City and obtaining an RN license, Pauline left Canada for the adventurous life of a traveling nurse. Her career landed her in San Francisco, Honolulu and New Orleans where she met and married Lloyd “Nipper” Farley on May 22nd, 1954.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Farley and 7 of her siblings. She is survived by four daughters, Rebecca Altobelli, Lisa Beasley, Jennifer Farley and Julie Farley and Son in Law, Jim Beasley. She has two grandchildren, Andrew Lloyd and Meredith Grace Beasley. Andrew attends Texas Christian University (TCU) and Meredith attends University of Oklahoma (OU). In Canada, she leaves behind 4 siblings, Constance LaChance, Luke Perreault and Carole, Marthe Trempe and Dennis and Rachel Perreault. She also leaves behind a loving brother and sister in law, Earl and Paula Tise who live in Wimberley. Other special family members include Jim Black and Hago Chuchian. A heartfelt thanks to Alesia Brown and Marquisha Ward, her caregivers. Thanks also to the other wonderful ladies who helped in the last months PJ, Lois, and Hazel.
Pauline was a member of the Briargrove Park Garden Club winning many awards at floral competitions. Spring was her favorite time of year as she looked forward to the Azaleas in full bloom. She loved her Persian cats Daisy and Angel. She also liked sailing with Nipper on Starmist in Galveston Bay.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until half-past six o’clock in the evening on Thursday, May 28, at the Bradshaw-Carter Home, 1734 W. Alabama St. in Houston.
Immediately following the visitation, the funeral service will be held in the Garden Room of Bradshaw-Carter. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of customary remembrances, gifts may be directed to the local channel 8 PBS and the Disabled Veterans Association.
