Dear Christopher, Ann, Paul, and Elizabeth... Paul-David shed a special light wherever he went and will be missed by all privileged to know and love him.

Susan Cooper, Dallas, TX

Paul-David Anthony Phy, 46 of Tampa, Florida, passed away on September 26, 2015, following a brief illness.

Paul-David was born on April 28, 1969, in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, in 1987. He attended the University of Oklahoma and UCLA.

Paul-David was a man of great generosity, pride, and faith. He was a thoughtful man who always sent cards to his friends and family on special occasions and holidays. His generous and compassionate nature led him to assist others when they were at their lowest. He served the Catholic Church as a Communion Minister in San Diego. In Tampa, he was a parishioner and a regular attendee at the Sacred Heart Church. He loved dining out, dancing with his husband and friends, and strolling through the neighborhoods of Tampa.

Paul-David is survived by his beloved husband Christopher Victor Lemus of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by his godchild, Francine Clark of Harlingen, Texas, his parents, Paul and Ann Phy of Dallas, Texas, his sister, Elizabeth Phy of Dallas, Texas, and his uncle, Howard Dudgeon III of Waco, Texas. He leaves behind many dear friends and cherished family whose hearts and lives he touched with his grace and kind spirit.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, the 7th of October, at the Bradshaw-Carter Home, 1734 W. Alabama Street in Houston, where the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at half-past six o’clock in the evening.

The Mass of Resurrection will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 8th of October, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, with a reception to follow.
