Jennifer Windham, 59, died unexpectedly on June 17, 2015. She was born in Dallas, Texas on March 1, 1956 to Bettiwayne Trapp and Jesse Cordova.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, father and older brother Jonathan. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Windham (fiancé: Kory Li) and Sarah Windham, and her baby brother Jason “Tex” Cordova.
Jennifer graduated from Corsicana High School and went on to get a BBA from St. Thomas University and a JD from the University of Houston. She practiced law at Andrews and Kurth until retiring to raise her two loving daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah.
Jennifer was deeply involved in the Wendy Davis campaign and the Battleground Texas movement, as well as volunteering much of her time to helping build the St. John the Divine Children’s Choir. Her favorite places were Canterbury Cathedral and the surrounding city, Villa De Matel and any library.
Friends are cordially invited to a Memorial Service at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Church of St John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard. A reception will follow in Sumners Hall.
Remembrances in Jennifer’s memory may be given to the Canterbury Cathedral Trust for the purpose of building a new organ in the Cathedral at www.justgiving.com/canterburycathedraltrust.
