Anandu Uncle, Darshan, Nandini, and family - I'm very sorry for your (and all of our) loss. Jayalakshmi Aunty was such a loving, warm, and charismatic woman who lit up a room. One of my favorite memories is when she, my dad, and I went to watch the Wheel of Fortune when it was being taped in Houston -- we had so much fun doing the "wave" for the tv cameras (your mom in a beautiful sari no less). Jayalakshmi Aunty will be missed. But her generous spirit and her ability to make a person feel special will never be forgotten. I am sending you virtual hugs and positive thoughts during this difficult time. Lots of love.

Balu and I vividly remember our first meeting with Lakshmi Aunty in Flushing Temple, New York about 9 yrs ago. She came and spoke to us after our performance. It was her love of music and affection for us that seemed to make it a instant connection and spontaneous bonding. She called me her "first daughter"many a times - I am deeply touched by her zest for life, love and affection. Balu and I will truly miss her... Much like a first daughter, I sing this in celebration of her life ! https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=bktcOgJhccM
