I very much regret this huge loss and feeling the pain his family are going through, I want to share the hope that very soon "will be a resurrection from God", as the Bible tells us in Acts 24:15. Courage and strength to all your family at this painful time. ww.JW.org

To The Herbert Family, It saddens me to read about Jane's passing. Something that helps me cope is found in the bible. It assures us God is near to those that are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. (Psalm 34:18) More than anything else, a relationship with God can help you to cope with the death of someone you love. May he be with your family today and the months to come. I hope everyone Jane touched can find comfort in these words.

Sally, ,

We will keep you all in our prayers and trust that you have a new light within you from your sister. We will see her in you. Love never dies. It's just so hard that the greater the love, the greater the pain of the loss. We are thinking of you now and will be in the days to come. Peace.

Jane Hundley Hebert died on Saturday, April 18, 2015, surrounded by her family after a prolonged battle with cancer. Born March 12, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana, she is survived by her devoted husband, Quinn Hebert, Sr., and her three loving sons, Quinn, Jr., Harland, and Andrew. Jane is also survived by her mother, Jean French Hundley of Shreveport; her sisters, Jean Cush, also of Shreveport; Ann Chappell of Welwyn, England; Ashley Ward of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several brothers-in law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Harland B. Hundley, and her brothers Harland Jr. and Bill.
Jane graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tulane University in 1990 and spent her professional years in New Orleans, Louisiana, before marrying and moving to Lafayette, Louisiana, and eventually Houston, where she devoted her time to raising her family and deepening her faith. Jane was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and School and also a parent volunteer at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory where her two older sons graduated and her youngest son is currently a student. To support her faith, Jane was a lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a Catholic organization whose roots date back to the First Crusade. Jane was an active member of the Houston chapter of Legatus, a Catholic leadership group with a mission to study, live and spread the Catholic faith in professional and personal lives. Jane's strong faith also led her to join Opus Dei as a Supernumerary. Opus Dei emphasizes the universal call of holiness and the sanctifying value of daily life.
Honoring Jane as pallbearers will be her nephews Paul Cush Jr., Christopher Cush, and Cy Hebert; cousin Robert Benoit, and family friends Craig Biggio and J. L. Marti.
The family wishes to thank Jane's caregivers especially the doctors and staff at M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital led by Dr. Diane Bodurka, Dr. David Hong and Dr. Eduardo Bruera together with the Houston Hospice team who provided expert care.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from half-past four o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Monday, April 20, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway in Houston, where recitation of the Holy Rosary will commence at half-past seven o’clock.
The funeral Mass will be held at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, April 21, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholich Church.
The family will gather for a private interment following the Mass.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that gifts be directed to the “Texas Expansion of Opus Dei” project, payable to the Woodlawn Foundation and mailed to 5505 Chaucer Drive, Houston, Texas 77005.
