To LIsa, I am sorry for the loss of your husband Eric. May you rely heavily on God as your refuge and strength during this time. May you find comfort in knowing that God will soon do away with death, pain and mourning forever. (Revelation 21:3-4)

Dear Lisa, I wish I could hug and hold you. You are a beautiful, powerful, magical woman and I love you. Sending you prayers and healing light. Robin and John, "Your Marburger family". God speed Eric…. Xo

Robin and John Gray, Fredericksburg, TX

God sends us many treasures for which we can not pay, The beauty of the songbird, sunsets at the close of day. The seedtime and the harvest of life sustaining grain, A child's delighted laughter, the cool refreshing rain. But another we will always treasure is the smile and love of Eric, no doubt he was full of love for you Lisa! Please know his love continues thru everyone who knew him and together we wrap our loving arms around you!

Jeff Littrell, Atlanta, GA

Lisa, I am shocked and saddened by this terrible news. You and Eric have been the most lovely, most artistic of couples I have ever met. I loved talking to you and looked forward to seeing you at Round Top, such wonderful people. Having just seen you a few weeks ago, this news is surreal. I pray for you and your family. May God bless you and keep you.....so very sorry......xo

Tandy Bowers, San Antonio, Tx

Lisa, I am stricken by this sad news! You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Talley and John Scott, Ft worth , Texas

Terribly saddened by this tragic news. I'll remember Eric fondly for the genuinely warm and caring man that he was. I had the pleasure of meeting him the first time I went to Marburger, and I always looked forward to seeing him and catching up a bit at the show. Just a really neat guy to be around, he always talked so lovingly about his family and the passion he had for what he did. I'm glad I had the chance to know him. My deepest condolences to his family in this difficult time.

Nicholas Kurtz, Baltimore, MD

So very sorry to hear about the passing of a wonderful soul. We sure will miss him in Texas and all the dinners we have had together. May god be with you Lisa and family to help you through this time.

Mike and Jodie Roberts, Homer, MI

Dear Lisa and family, Dear Anita Muñoz, Michel Vanpoucke and family Words cannot express my sadness and loss of a wonderful gifted friend. My deepest condolences to you. A poem for you and Eric: On The Death Of The Beloved — John O’Donohue Though we need to weep your loss, You dwell in that safe place in our hearts, Where no storm or night or pain can reach you. Your love was like the dawn Brightening over our lives Awakening beneath the dark A further adventure of colour. The sound of your voice Found for us A new music That brightened everything. Whatever you enfolded in your gaze Quickened in the joy of its being; You placed smiles like flowers On the altar of the heart. Your mind always sparkled With wonder at things. Though your days here were brief, Your spirit was live, awake, complete. We look towards each other no longer From the old distance of our names; Now you dwell inside the rhythm of breath, As close to us as we are to ourselves. Though we cannot see you with outward eyes, We know our soul’s gaze is upon your face, Smiling back at us from within everything To which we bring our best refinement. Let us not look for you only in memory, Where we would grow lonely without you. You would want us to find you in presence, Beside us when beauty brightens, When kindness glows And music echoes eternal tones. When orchids brighten the earth, Darkest winter has turned to spring; May this dark grief flower with hope In every heart that loves you. May you continue to inspire us: To enter each day with a generous heart. To serve the call of courage and love Until we see your beautiful face again In that land where there is no more separation, Where all tears will be wiped from our mind, And where we will never lose you again. Eric will always be in my heart and prayers.

Jeannie Colburn-Hernandez, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Lisa, as I remember Eric I think about first his amazing smile, second his graciousness, always putting everyone at ease and third his lovely and enchanting French accent! What else could you ask for? He has left us way too early, I wanted many more years to know him and listen to him about his travels and adventures and selfishly to see and touch and acquire those beautiful things that you both painstakingly searched for and brought back to us. We are heartbroken about the loss of our friend and neighbor. "To live in hearts we leave behind; is to never die." Eric will live in our hearts for a very long time. Lisa, may God bless you and hold you close. And remember we are close by Love, Roberta and John
