Briscoe Kelley Parker, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend entered into eternal rest on September 27, 2014. He was born on August 16, 1926 in Houston, Texas to Briscoe and Johanna Parker, Sr.

He is survived by his son B. Kelley Parker III and wife Cindy; daughter Jennie Larkins and husband Kirven; son, John F. Parker and wife Penny; grandchildren B. K. “Coe” Parker IV; Ashley Parker Pope and husband John; Cynthia Larkins Schaefer and husband Joe; Virginia G. Larkins and Racheal Parker. Great grandchildren Parker H. Pope and Elizabeth Schaefer. Brother Alan W. Parker and wife Joan. Briscoe is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, his wife Fredda Foote Parker.

Briscoe attended San Jacinto High School and then went to Southern Methodist University where he was a member of the Mustang Band and ATO fraternity. After service in the Navy, he returned to Houston to form Houston Barge Line and HBL Industries where he served as President. Before retirement he also served as President of Parker Bros. & Co. He was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church and member of the Houston Racquet Club.

There was a family only Memorial Service at St. Luke’s Methodist Church. In lieu of customary remembrances, donations in Briscoe’s memory may be directed to the Fredda Parker Fund for The Neuhaus Education Center, 4433 Bissonnett, Bellaire, TX 77041 (77401);, or to the charity of your choice.
